Solar Panel Inspection & Reporting

One of the services we offer our clients at Solar Eco Clean (Pty) Ltd is a thorough inspection & reporting of your installed solar panel system. Through regular inspection and reporting you can have the peace of mind that your system is operating problem free. Early diagnosis of possible problems can reduce the risk of costly repairs. Continuous damage through negligence can result in solar panel failure requiring expensive replacements that could have been prevented by following the correct maintenance procedure.

Firstly a visual inspection is done to look for any possible problems. This can range from loose connections, hard/soft shadows, damage to solar panels or cables, hail damage, broken seals, dead cells within the panels, signs of arching/burnt connectors, Chemical damage, water ingress, loose panels, cracked or broken panels, debris/dirt/tree sap on top of the panels, and bird/rodent nests under panels that can result in many problems namely: bird droppings, claw scratches on panels, damage to wiring which increases the risk of short circuit or potential fire.

After the visual inspection we inspect each panel with an IR camera to look for any signs of hot spots, failing cells / dead cells within the solar panel. A solar irradiance meter is also used to test the performance of your solar panel system. A report is then given to the client containing photos, statistics as well as issues /faults found with the recommended solutions and procedure to follow.
